Gala Festival with Studio Lowrie
Audio reactive visuals, custom VJ software, LED screen
I collaborated with design studio Studio Lowrie and used their visual identity for the Peckham music festival Gala 2024 to produce real-time audio reactive visuals for use on a large LED screen at the event. Working with the studio we created a dynamic animation featuring the flower visuals from their branding. I developed a Touchdesigner program that takes the live audio signal from the performer and analyses it to apply audio reactive visual parameters to the video: such as colour curves changes and video playhead manipulation.
I produced an interface for the software and instructed Gala’s technicians on how to control the tool: testing it with them on the LED screen. They successfully used it on all three nights of the event during the headliner performances on the main stage. The video below shows the visuals being used during Dutch DJ Job Jobse’s set.
