Neck of the Woods

Neck of the Woods is a collaborative publication and walking map, created to help members of urban communities appreciate the natural world in their neighbourhood and connect with others through shared experiences. We asked locals to share their favourite natural spaces and provide a statement explaining what this space means to them. These locations are then used to create the map. We visited each recommendation and used photography to capture the essence of each space. These photographs are featured in the publication alongside the community members stories. The publication was printed on 100gsm recycled paper and bound with a perfect binder.

The location selected for this issue of Neck of the Woods is Brent. Being one of the most diverse boroughs in England, focusing on Brent supports our ethos of using the project to help make nature a more diverse and inclusive space.

This project is in progress and we are in the process of finalising our map design and re-printing our publication.
