Audio-type

Using an audio input to alter the form of glyphs. This example shows a conversation between two people. The form of each character is determined by how it was spoken, allowing the typeface to visually communicate the speakers tone of voice.

I connected a microphone to Touch-Designer and used the audio data to manipulate the characters seen in the transcript in real-time as they were spoken. Creating a direct visual translation of the sonic qualities of these spoken words.
